Description

CTERA Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) Team Lead to join our dynamic team, based in Boston, MA.

The SDR Team Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the front end of the sales engine by empowering, supervising, and developing a team of SDRs to identify, engage, and qualify prospective customers. This leadership position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments and are passionate about cultivating a high-performing team that creates new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a related field; understanding of outbound prospecting methods and best practices
  • Availability in the Syracuse office 3 days per week
  • Prior experience managing or leading an SDR or inside-sales team
  • Outstanding leadership, coaching, and motivational abilities with a focus on supporting SDRs to exceed outreach and qualification targets
  • Proven ability to communicate persuasively, establish rapport quickly, and deliver constructive feedback in a team setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a detail-oriented approach to managing team operations and individual development
  • Data-driven mindset, leveraging CRM systems, analytics, and outbound tools, and sales metrics for performance optimization and targeted improvements
  • Strong technical skills - Knowledge of the networking, IT/ storage/Security industry, as well as cloud-based solutions, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of SDRs, providing ongoing coaching, skills development, and performance feedback to help achieve individual and team goals
  • Oversee the team's research, outbound prospecting, and multi-channel engagement efforts to ensure best practices and outreach targets are consistently met
  • Establish and monitor lead qualification standards, ensuring SDRs effectively develop inbound and outbound leads into sales-ready opportunities
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing to align messaging, optimize handoff processes, and drive cross-functional success across lead pipeline management
  • Track, analyze, and report team activities, pipeline details, and KPIs in the CRM; leverage insights to refine outreach strategies and support accurate sales forecasting
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through experimentation, feedback, and sharing of industry trends and prospecting innovations
